So, who's ready for The Wicker Man Returns?

The original title of Nicolas Cage's 1994 film It Could Happen to You was Cop Gives Waitress Two Million Dollar Tip. I can't think of anything more ironic. Cage is currently married to a former waitress and, as the video below explains in great detail, is wildly in need of that two million dollars back.

Seriously, though: all this hullabaloo about a broke (whaa! whaa!) Cage is, although on the surface quite pleasing to me, really just a sad p.r. move or something. Aside from constantly getting paid millions of dollars (I chronicled many of his upcoming projects a few months ago, many of which have been released by now), we're told how he's had to sell mansion after castle after mansion in order to pay off his IRS debts. I'm no math major, but six million in back taxes versus 30-some million in sold (or on the market) real estate properties tells me that the former Mr. Coppola will be alright, even if (God forbid!) he has to sell them for a loss. Guess what, buddy - it's a shitty economy. Everyone's that's selling is selling their homes for a loss these days.

The really sad thing is, I know Ghost Rider 2 is already in the works, and I'd imagine Nat'l Treasure 3 is as well.

As long as Knowing 2 is off the board.
