Previous results: I wasn't surprised by the Uma victory, but the margin of said victory and the claim by some that they had no idea who Henstridge did shock me a bit. Comments: One of only two returning participants from the 80s Tourney, the future Mrs. Kutcher went from being a star to a STAR with 1990's Ghost. From there, she went on to rival Julia Roberts as one of the biggest stars of the decade - though most of her films were known more for the publicity they generated than for their successes, either critically or commercially. If I had but one picture to sum up Moore's career in the 90s, the one that comes to mind would be her Vanity Fair cover, nude and very pregnant; like her, it was many things: controversial, beautiful, and hard to look away from, even if you weren't sure how good of an idea it was.90s Highlights: Ghost, A Few Good Men, Indecent Proposal, Disclosure, Striptease, G.I. Angelina Jolie
Comments: Let's get this out of the way right now: yes, had this been a Ladies of the 00s tourney, Angelina would be a surefire number one seed. But it ain't - in fact, she was hardly known (as anything other than "Jon Voight's daughter") for most of the 90s; her beauty is the main factor for her even being seeded as highly as she is, largely because it would just be ridiculous to have her as a 7 or 8 seed. Still, looking back, it's not as though she made no impressions; she won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for 1999's Girl, Interrupted, and her free spirit (read: naked) character in Pushing Tin was just about the only good thing about that piece of crap.
