Poll results; new poll

The results of the last poll have left me with a bit of a quandry: continue to let the testostcerone fly (even though I was unaware that I was doing so) and play to my overwhelmingly male demographic, or make an appeal to the ladies (what, the Dudes tournament wasn't enough beefcake for you?) to get those percentages at least more in line with the numbers I've observed as being normal in the movie blogging community (70/30)?

Oh, such a conundrum. Perhaps I'll just stick to the same old same old and try to market myself better to the women out there. And perhaps also attempt to push my theory that women are just wary of blog polls, since I know damn well there are more than five women that read this blog at least semi-regularly. Of course, there are also more than 26 guys, so maybe it's accurate after all. Time to do some market research...

New poll wants to know how you get the news (aka blog posts) delivered to you. Let me know if I missed a method. I'm a hybrid (I start with a feed reader and proceed to the direct site to comment, mostly) and would imagine many others are as well, but try to answer with the most common case (in which case my answer will be "feed reader").

Bonjour! Fletch,
Why am I not "surprised" by these numbers.
Because I post on a couple of blogs where..."testosterone" rules and I’ am sometimes the lone (female) voice on the blog(s). C'est la vie… I ‘am forming a UNION!
Merci, pour le partage!

Irwin if it would help you rope in a few more ladies, I can post a picture of myself alongside my weekly Lost blog...

DeeDee - how about a sub-union of the LAMB, just for the ladies? Quite a few there...

KV - I double dog dare you. Better yet, just post a pic of Franco.

Yes, I was not represented in the poll, and I read all (and have voted in nearly every beefcake contest). I keep track of blogs in Google reader and didn't actually see this poll. Sorry. Thought I'd explain.

Wow that's very skewed toward the male side. I'm pretty lucky to have a nearly 50/50 balance on my site. I never really polled anyone on that but I use Quantcast (http://www.quantcast.com/) which allows you to get some really interesting demographics on the visitors of your site such as sex, age, ethnicity, income etc...

ooooh, Blog Cabins looks all pretty and shiny and new! Nice job.

Jess - no worries. You were amongst the ladies I was counting in my head. :)

Castor - I'll have to check that out, but I'm really, really curious as to how any analytics site can know the age and sex of people from an IP address. Sounds very big brothery.

Mrs. Fletch - why thank you, and of course thanks so much for your help along the way.

Let just say I followed your advice
and created a site for the ladies of LAMBs and I have to wait...Hmmm...about 2 and half months...perhaps? before I can join the LAMBs.
We will see...Believe me it's not about "gender" it's more about "networking."
