Poll results; new poll

You might not even remember voting in the last poll (it's been over two months), but here are the results. The question centered around how easily you could name your favorite flick, and the voting was pretty well split, with the winner being those folks in the same boat as me: namely, that you could narrow it down to a couple, but pegging just one would be like pulling teeth.

New poll wants to know what you think the year's best film was. I could've listed off probably 15 more films, but that wouldn't have made for a very aesthetic page now, would it? If yours hasn't been given its due credit, let me hear it here.

Let the Right One In is probably my favorite 2008 movie.

Hellboy 2 rocked! Slightly beating Dark Knight and Wall-E.

Nic, please tell the fine folks at home how many flicks you even saw in the teatro this year. Over or under 5? I say 6.

But Hellboy 2 was very good.

Dreamrot - not seen that one yet.

My favourite of the year was In Bruges. It just appealed to my world weary sense of humour... but it had unexpected heart too.

@ Rol -- Good call! In Bruges was a great movie, better than I'd expected when first entering the theatre.

Penelope was released this year, yes? It should win for best Art Direction. That or Synecdoche. (all the Ironman, Batman, Wall*E peeps are gonna HATE me now.)

Rol - glad you mentioned In Bruges. It will definitely make my top 10, though I can't say it'll be near the top. Still, it shouldn't be forgetten (like I did) just because of it's early-in-the-year release date.

Milk.

Or perhaps The Reader, which I saw tonight, and isn't on there.

*grumbles*
