When I saw Tom Cruise, I was like "Are you kidding me? He's so got this." And then I saw he was up against Slater and was like "Oh... damn."

But as much as I like Heathers, I had to give it to Cruise based on resume alone.

I'm voting against Cruise, simply because I think he's over-hyped as a talented actor. Plus Slater looks like a young Jack Nicholson clone so advantage Slater.

Amen MVP. Also, Cruise's middle tooth freaks me out.

I vote Cruise because, in the 80's, was just one of the kings of the cinema. Though I can guarantee after 20 years he's gonna get a lot of people who just won't vote for him, more than they are voting for someone else.

Love or hate Cruise now, he IS the 80s and I'll be shocked and somewhat saddened if he doesn't at least make the finals.

True story: Mrs. Fletch never noticed Tom's 3rd front tooth until I pointed it out to her. It's freaky, man.

That said, the guy was charismatic, good looking, and in a ton of cheesy-yet-awesome flicks in the Reagan era. He's THE movie star of that time, and I'll hear no arguments to the contrary (not named Harrison Ford).

Keep your Cruise; I adored Christian back in the day and still worship Heathers. This isn't even based on Cruise being a total douche, either.

Harrison Ford IS the movie star of the 80's ;)

I assume "not named Harrison Ford" means not counting Harrison Ford since he isn't apart of this.

In this competition alone I'll give you Cruise might be the most popular, I'd still argue he was the most talented compared to a few others on the list.
