Elisabeth Shue
Breakdown: Like Jennifer Grey, Shue's looks allowed her to play much younger than her age. She was 21 for her breakout as Daniel LaRusso's girlfriend in The Karate Kid, and was 26 when she co-starred as Michael J. Fox's high school girlfriend/future wife in the Back to the Future sequel. Adding to those beloved films are the others listed below that, together, make her an 80s icon.
80s Highlights: The Karate Kid, Adventures in Babysitting, Cocktail, Back to the Future, Part II
P.J. Soles
Breakdown: It's hard to say if Soles is known more for her 70s resume (Carrie and Halloween) or the two memorable military comedies she did in the 80s (below). But it's pretty easy to say that she didn't really do much of anything notable after that...
80s Highlights: Pvt. Benjamin, Stripes
4 people have chosen wisely: on "Ladies of the 80s Tournament - Round 1: Elisabeth Shue (1) vs P.J. Soles (8)"
as much as I love Stripes, I love Elisabeth Shue more than anything else.
This is a tough one... but I think P.J. Soles is cuter.
not really a Lizzie Shue guy. Karate Kid, yes...... Hamlet 2, oh yeah ...... everytihng in between, meh.
Now PJ Soles in a 3/4 sleeve with a baseball cap on ... YEEEEAH! (stripes too, but she was overshadowed by the hot Russians)
Shuuuuuuuue.
