Kilmer's better looking, but Elwes has much better roles. I think I have to give it to Elwes simply for Princess Bride.
The list is long, but distinguished. Ice Man/Mad Martigan for sure - great as Princess Bride is, one role can't top Kilmer's 80s resume.
Didn't Cary parody Val's Ice Man character in "Hot Shots"?
Indeed he did, Anon. Good call. Still wasn't enough to push Mr. Elwes through, unfortunately.
