Honor your civic duty!

Do you root for the underdog*? Do you like it when some scrappy competitor overcomes insurmountable odds to defeat a vile enemy? When the Giants beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl or the US defeated the USSR in Olympic hockey all those years ago?

Well, I've got a doozy for you. As you may know, I've taken part in the LAMB's Action Hero contest - the question being "Which would you rather have as your roommate?" So, we picked a character, wrote some short essays pleading our cases and yadayadayada, my main man Iron Man has made the finals...

...unfortunately, I'm now going up against Lara Croft of Tomb Raider fame. And the LAMB has a mostly male demographic. Talk about an uphill climb.

I need YOU to go here now (voting lasts for just three days) and vote for Iron Man. I'm counting on you all.


* Let's all just forget that I beat the actual Underdog in the first round of this event. :)

LAMB Action Hero, Round 2

Hard not to sound bad when saying this, but my main man, uh, Iron Man wiped the floor with Underdog in the first round of LAMB Action Hero. Now, it's on to Hot Fuzz lead Nicholas Angle. LAH moderator Nick has gotten all fancy with his Angle entry, including a chart of personality traits, in his attempt to derail my course for the title. You must stop him. Go to the LAMB now and vote for Tony Stark. Remember, a vote for Iron Man is a vote for America (and freedom), while a vote for Angle is a vote for tea, crumpets and bad teeth.

(And yes, I misspelled Angel's name incorrectly on purpose, though, if you've seen the movie, you should have figured that out by now. And if you haven't, you probably didn't know I was misspelling it. My point? Um...go vote for me.)

And then...

LAMB Action Hero

There's a new 'battle' event going on at the LAMB - but this time, it's not a literal battle. The setup was this: if you had your choice, which action hero (or superhero) would you want as your roommate? I chose Iron Man, then wrote my (less than 500 word) essay, while my opponent, silly as he is, chose Underdog. There have been a few battles posted so far - check them out.
