Ladies of the 80s Tournament - WINNER: Elisabeth Shue

By the score of 19-18, Elisabeth Shue pulled out the victory over "the Princess of the 80s," Molly Ringwald. Congrats to Ms. Shue, and once again, thanks to all that voted, commented, promoted, and generally had fun wuth this.

Wow, I honestly never would have seen this coming. I like Elizabeth Shue, but I've never thought of her as the epitome of 80's Babe.

In the first round I would never have seen this coming, but I don't mind. While I love Ringwald's movies, I don't much care for her in them.

Interesting winner! At least, it wasn't as predictable as most times when this kind of tournament happen.

So happy to see a victorious Shue. I wouldn't have guessed she would have made it to the Final, but glad she came out on top, esp since she took down Cates.

I have no qualms with a Shue win. She's probably not the tops any way you slice this tournament up, but she has a nice blend of attractiveness, cultural significance and a solid resume. Moreover, she's likable - there's no hate camp out there to speak of like there might be with someone like Demi Moore.

Yeah, I'm happy with the Shue win. It's unexpected (beating out Moore is tough), but welcome.

I couldn't be more delighted.

Shue is hotter, but Molly is the 80s princess, so this does feel wrong.

Shue?? Not a conventional choice, but at least its excusable. if we go with the criteria you spelled out of "who would you most like to do if you time traveled back to the 80s" at least Shue would be in my Top 5.

In your other tourney though, Cusack wouldn't even make my top 20, who are these bozos who are voting??

Props to you, Shue! Despite my defence of Ringwald, Shue was always the true object of my teen infatuation. Way to bring it all together, Fletch!

I'm actually really OK with this... I'm still hot for Shue!!!

Seems like Shue really was the deserving winner. I'll contact her people and let her know. Someone already let Cusack know via Twitter about his win. No response back yet, surprisingly. ;)

I'm still hot for Shue, too. She as tasty as ever in Hamlet 2.

I can't believe the nerve of Cusack! Doesn't he know what a prestigious honor this is? Let's hope he's taken an extended twitter hiatus.

I am married to my wife of 15 years for many great reasons, one of which is she looks exactly like Shue in Karate Kid. Only my wife has aged better considering she is a personal trainer. Yes I'm bragging. I don't do it often enough. Living the dream.
