Colleen Camp
Comments: I've still never seen Clue, so until I did an image search, the name Colleen Camp really didn't mean all that much to me. I can now see some of that appeal. Then I took a gander at her IMDb resume and saw the Police Academy flicks on there - Tackleberry's wife - I know her!
80s Highlights: Clue, Police Academy 2 & 4, D.A.R.Y.L., Valley Girl
Amanda Peterson
Comments: What guy born in the 70s didn't love Amanda in 1987?
From The Moviezzz Blog's Whatever Happened To? look at Peterson, which is pretty damn heartbreaking, actually. You gotta check out the whole piece, which includes an update from just yesterday of some recent pics of the now-elusive Peterson. Weird stuff.
"In the summer of 1987, what still stands as the best of the 1980’s high school films was released, CAN’T BUY ME LOVE. Rather than the sort of fairy tale John Hughes films, CAN’T BUY ME LOVE was a very realistic look at 80’s high school life.
Today, it is best known as the film that GREY’S ANATOMY star Patrick Dempsey starred in, back before he was a heartthrob. But back then, most critics didn’t even pay attention to him in the film. The person that they singled out for praise was his female co-star, an actress by the name of Amanda Peterson."

10 people have chosen wisely: on "Ladies of the 80s Tournament - Round 1: Colleen Camp (4) vs Amanda Peterson (5)"
As hot as Colleen looks in Clue, I still can't get over her role in Police Academy. It also helps that Amanda is hot as hell.
I'm going to have to think about this one for a while before voting. Never heard of the first girl, but she's a looker. Peterson is hot, and I loved her in Can't Buy Me Love she really had some acting talent, but she basically was a one hit wonder actress. I'll definitely check out that blog later about Peterson, her life after her brief movie career is pretty much a mystery, I've heard two stories: 1) she went total druggie, 2) she just dropped out to lead a normal life. I'd put money on the druggie hard life, but I'll see what Moviezzz says.
AnswerMVP - Moviezzz goes over those two scenarios you point out, and the answer is indeed still murky.
This was a tough choice, but I had to side with Peterson, considering I had no real knowledge of Camp in the 80s. Sure, I saw the Police Academy flicks, but she was a minor character in them, and like I said, I never saw Clue.
Colleen Camp: I gotta say, I'm a sucker for boobs
Wow, the votes have rapidly changed. I guess I'll just go with Peterson, I remember really falling for her in Can Buy Me Love, the hot girl next door simply trumps to plain old hot babe.
Well considering Clue is in my top 5 films of all time and she is freaking awesome as Yvette (accents are hot) I had to say she gets my vote.
I had to give it to Camp, mostly because Clue is freakin' awesome.
Voted Camp, for how she lookedin the 80s. She has aged very poorly though.
Red Couch - As am I.
AnswerMVP - Excellent point about the girl next door.
Travis/Nick - Ok, yeah, I need to see Clue.
JSR - You ain't kidding. She ballooned.
Toughest one to date. Colleen Camp is hot while Amanda is more of a cutie pie so it really comes down to preferences.
