Rae Dawn Chong
Comments: Do I need say more than Commando here? I think not.
80s Highlights: Commando, The Color Purple, Soul Man, The Principal
Dana Wheeler-Nicholson
Comments: Ok, I know I'm gonna hear it for this one. If there's one GIANT liberty I took with this tournament, it was with the inclusion of Ms. Wheeler-Nicholson. I know - she really has no place in this tournament. She's cute, but no one seemed to ever care. And she was in hardly any movies in the 80s, and only one that I'd even heard of prior to today. But c'mon, that one movie was Fletch. Throw me a bone of forgiveness, won't you?
And for those that think she looks mildly familiar but can't place her, she played Kurt Russell's wife in Tombstone.
80s Highlights: Fletch, Mrs. Soffel, The LIttle Drummer Girl
7 people have chosen wisely: on "Ladies of the 80s Tournament - Round 1: Rae Dawn Chong (2) vs Dana Wheeler-Nicholson (7)"
Dana has a weird square head. Just saying...
She had me at Commando.
You made this too easy for Ms. Chong.
BEAT STREET not withstanding, Rae Dawn Chong never did much for me but I had a big crush on Dana thanks to FLETCH. It's a shame that she didn't do more high profile stuff. I always thought she was sexy.
I'll go with the underdog on this one Dana, since I have no idea who the other one is (actually I've never heard of Dana either, so I'm purely going off which one I find more attractive from your pics). Is Rae partial Asian? With a last name like Chong she either is or it's one of those Seinfeld incidents where she changed her name to Chong so people would think she was Asian.
RW - yeah, you're right, but #2 seeds ought to have an easy road. It'll get tougher in the next round for Ms. Chong, I'm sure.
J.D. - I completely agree, and thusly voted for DWN.
AnswerMVP - I can tell you that Rae Dawn is Tommie Chong's daughter - outside of that, I don't exactly know her heritage, though Wiki may be able to provide some insight.
Chong.
She's Tommy Chong's daughter? Did not know that. She turned out really well, considering.
