Mia Sara
Comments: I wish that The Moviezzz Blog had had a Whatever Happened To? post about Sara - the problem is, she never really went away. It just felt like it. With Legend and Bueller, she had major roles in two well-known mid-80s flicks (one of them a mega-success with her playing a very prominent character). But then...her resume shows work, but I don't recall seeing her again until her "comeback" in Timecop with JCVD.

Jennifer Jason Leigh
Comments: I've never much cared for JJL, but that doesn't mean that someone else doesn't. Still, it felt like she had to be here, at the very least for how iconic Fast Times is and how prominent a role she plays in it. How's that for an endorsement? (C'mon, as if she had a chance against Sara anyway...)

7 people have chosen wisely: on "Ladies of the 80s Tournament - Round 1: Mia Sara (2) vs Jennifer Jason Leigh (7)"
Hi! Fletch,
I just voted for actress Jennifer-Jason Leigh...because I'am not familiar with Mia Sara.
DeeDee ;-D
As much as I love JJL, her decade was really the 1990s. Sorry, but Mia for FERRIS and LEGEND!
Voted Mia... I swear I've seen her in something recently.
Moviezzz - maybe in a couple years you could do one. She has one credit from 2010 on her resume right now, but before that was 2007. Maybe it she takes another significant break after that one, a whatever happened will be warranted...
JJL is definitely the prestige actress here, but her 80s resume isn't nearly overwhelming enough to challenge Sara, despite Mia's relatively small list of work there.
Never heard of Mia Sara but I voted for her anyways. Seems she played Harley in the short live Birds of Prey series back in 2002, I've been meaning to check that series out.
I am so glad that Mia won this round.
I was starting to worry that JJL might win this one on acting ability alone, since she isn't even in the same league as Mia Sara in the looks department.
