Kelly LeBrock
Comments: Pay no attention to the moose you see before you, LeBrock was high on just about every guy's list in the mid-80s and even into the early 90s (for shame that her role in Steven Seagal's Hard to Kill doth not count here). Only two 80s movies, but a lot of mileage from them. Fellow Lady of the 80s contender Vanessa Angel picked up where LeBrock's career left off - literally - by playing her character in the TV version of Weird Science. Too bad a matchup between them isn't likely.

Diane Franklin
Breakdown: Be honest - did you know Franklin as anything besides "that French chick" from Better Off Dead? I had no idea she was one of the princesses seen early on in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, and I couldn't feel more ashamed not for noticing. The risque pic above is from Amityville II. If you want to know what ever happened to Franklin, check out the entry on her over at The Moviezzz Blog (I'll spotlight these where available; Moviezzz has done an entry on several 80s stars, including quite a few that are included in this tournament).

9 people have chosen wisely: on "Ladies of the 80s Tournament - Round 1: Kelly LeBrock (2) vs Diane Franklin (7)"
Nope - sure haven't.
By the way - I've been checking the last few days, but the entrants were more high-profile; then I went and forget to check your site for Franklin, and there it is. I've edited the post to include a link.
I can't imagine why LeBrock basically stopped doing movies, because her two 80's roles are burnt into my brain and I don't even actually remember sitting down and watching them all the way through.
was all about to go with LeBrock but the Bill and Ted thing evoked some fine memories! - most bodacious!!
Went with the latter on this one. She's cuter, and hey... Bill and Ted.
If I woke up tomorrow looking like Kelly LeBrock (back THEN) I'd be a happy camper. Fletch probably would be too. ;)
Moviezzz - but I already have like 100 movies that I need to watch next. ;) I will add it to my mental list.
AnswerMVP - and what of Hard to Kill? After Weird Science, that's my favorite flick of LeBrock's. Good cheese there.
darts, Nick - yeah, I'm gonna side with Mrs. Fletch and choose Kelly this time out. Franklin's cute, but obviously not memorable enough (at least for me).
Kelly stopped making films for some time after her divorce from Victor Drai and her father's death resulted in depression. Later, some of her best scenes in Hard to Kill ended up on the cutting room floor, another hard lesson. She had a real gift for comedy, though, and appreciated my humor when I made her a birthday cake on which I wrote "Don't Eat Me Because I'm Beautiful."
