Poll results; new poll

All you "other" responders in the last poll need to speak up and tell us what your most anticipated movie of 2010 is, because seeing Iron Man 2 and Shutter Island as the two winners pretty much depresses me. Then again, the rest of the choices aren't all that impressive, but I expected a better showing from Harry Potter 7.1, and a much better showing from Chris Nolan's Inception.

Speaking of Chris Nolan, these poll results and other discussions got me to thinking about all of the fantastic directors (and even some that just started out great but flamed out) that broke out in the 90s. New poll wants to know which you think has had the best overall career (interpret that as you like). Seems like an easy choice...until you see all the choices.

GAH!

WHY NOT JUST MAKE A LIST CONTAINING EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY FAVOURITE DIREC-OH WAIT YOU JUST DID!!!!

For me, Tarantino JUST beat out Nolan (though I'm already regretting my decisions)

DAMN YOU FLETCH!!!

Funny you should be the first to comment here, since I was very, very close to calling you out specifically for obviously having not voted in the last poll, since there was not a single vote for Kick-Ass. ;)

As for this poll, basically - yeah, me too. I'm sure I could think of many more (Gondry, Jonze, Spielberg, etc.), but these guys would make up 90% of my top directors, I think.

I haven't voted yet - I don't know if I can decide. It's between QT, PTA, and Nolan. And Aronofsky. And Fincher.

Ok, I think it'd be QT as well.

It was between Nolan, Tarantino, and Smith for me, but I went with Nolan (barely beating out Tarantino).

Yeah I felt bad that i didn't vote for kick ass now...but I really can't wait for A Team (i was the one vote)

as for the directors I wanted to vote for Tarantino but as much as I love him I just love Fincher a little more. I think Tarantino will always be remembered more than Fincher IMO but Fincher has made pretty consistently good after consistently good movie.

It probably doesn't help that 2 out of top 5 films of all time are Fincher =p

Inception, Inception and oh yeah Inception.

That shot of Paris folding over itself was the best scene in a trailer I've seen.

Not seeing the great Michael Bay on that list. Your polls are always spotty.

Travis - Fight Club and which other Fincher film are you counting? Please don't say Ben Button, please don't say Ben Button, please don't say Ben Button...

Kid Vegas - I will have to include special "Kid Vegas Retarded Choices" on all future polls just for you.
