SpliceSeen it. Somewhat flummoxed by it. I wouldn't necessarily discourage those previously interested in seeing it from going through with that, but if you were on the fence, you might at least wish to wait for the rental. A full review to come...eventually.

Somehow, this made the Garfield flicks look classy. Quite a feat in and of itself right there. Weep for Owen Wilson, but weep even more for Lee Pace and Judy Greer; Wilson got away with voiceover work, they had to actually star in this piece of shit.

If you were to chart my interest level for this Forgetting Sarah Marshall spin-off, it would probably resemble Aldous Snow's blood-alcohol level for a given day: prolonged periods of sobriety with several spikes of drunkenness. In other words, I've been a bit of a yo-yo. After enjoying FSM quite a bit, I was on board when I first heard about it. Then the trailer came out, and I couldn't have been more whelmed. But then the reviews came, and they've put me back into "interested" mode; not only is it supposed to be damned funny, but the reviewer in the local paper zeroed in on what he thought the best part of it was: the growth and performance of...Jonah Hill? Really. I'd be interested ought of morbid curiosity, if nothing else, after having that.

KillersWhere to start?
Two unlikable leads (Kutcher might seem like a nice guy offscreen, but his acting doesn't thrill me), a super-recycled plot, from the director of The Ugly Truth and Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!
I don't even have anything interesting to say about it, that's how bland and unappealing this thing is. It's just sitting there, eating up theaters from sure-to-be-better movies. Hey, at least it's got a better IMDb rating (3.6) than Marmaduke (2.8) right now...

Saw Get Him to The Greek over the weekend and laughed pretty hard for most of the movie. And it had a pretty good story line going as well.
I have also been sort of hit or miss with Jonah Hill - but he didnt irritate me in this film like I thought he would.
Pretty solid flick - good for some great laughs.
GHTTG is friggin' hilarious! Hill is alright, but is constantly overpowered by Brand and Combs. There are some hilarious set pieces though; one of them is quite possibly one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
Killers looks exactly like Knight and Day, only bad and unfunny.
I'm somewhat interested in seeing Get Him to the Greek because of the overall positive response but I'll probably wait for the DVD (in a couple months these days). Killer looks horrendous. Is Katherine Heigl going to down the flush faster than expletives or what?
Love how studios are panicking over the low box office intake the past few weeks. What were they expecting? There is absolutely nothing that is a must-see since Iron Man 2.

Sebastian - And there's an even bigger tickmark for it. Good to hear.
Though I'm putting Knight and Day in the "True Lies wannabe" pile more than the Knight and Day one. Still, they're all kinda the same thing.
Castor - I'm sure the wife and I will end up seeing GHTTG in theaters, if only because we are compelled to go at least once a week (mmmm, popcorn dinner) and there ain't much else worth seeing (though Please Give just opened, so that might take precedence).
It's fitting that Heigl was in The Ugly Truth with Butler; perhaps they've been exchanging notes on how best to tank a career...
And seriously, this summer's picking have been awfully, awfully slim thus far. Inception is gonna have to be pretty damn awesome to even halfway redeem it. No pressure though, Nolan.
I have faith in the holy triumvirate, as I call it, to redeem the summer, and it is made up of INCEPTION, SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD, and TOY STORY 3. INCEPTION will kick so much ass, it will be unfathomable; SCOTT PILGRIM looks awesome, and Pixar has been flawless since CARS, so why should they stop now?
Sebastian - the Holy Triumvirate has some big work ahead of them. But yeah, those three look to be head and shoulders above any of the other big-budget movies on the horizon.
