There have been quite a few polarizing matchups over the weeks, with hurt feelings left and right over certain actors and actresses losing their matchups. Will this one take the cake? Everyone seems to think the winner is coming out of this matchup, so I expect a lot of activity.
Phoebe Cates
80s Highlights: Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Gremlins, Bright Lights, Big City
Kelly LeBrock
80s Highlights: The Woman in Red, Weird Science
10 people have chosen wisely: on "Ladies of the 80s Tournament - Round 3: Phoebe Cates (1) vs Kelly LeBrock (2)"
C'mon people Kelly LeBrock beats Cates in looks and talent, plus she's British got to love the accent on a lovely lady.
Nah, Cates has her in looks and resume (at least with Fast Times and Gremlins). Talent is another issue altogether, though.
@Nick - I'm not saying Cates is ugly, she's cute, LeBrock on the other hand is a woman. I just prefer the woman over the girl. And personally Weird Science and Woman In Red beats Cates two well known films. Besides Cates is hardly in Fast Times all she hard is the dream sequence!
Has everyone gone MAD!!!
Wow. First Betsy and now Kelly...this is a transi-sham-mockery.
I may have to go to another blog site Fletch, this one has become a looney bin!
Kelly all the way.
Cage - "Waaaa - I like Weird Science more than any other movie ever! How dare LeBrock not win!"
Trick, please. And sure, Betsy's hot, but did you really think she had a chance in this competition? If we just wanted random hot chicks, we could've thrown Kathy Ireland or Christie Brinkley in for good measure...
I'm fully satisfied with a Cates win here. They're both high seeds...only one can win.
Nice to know I'm not the only one who thinks this whacked out.
All men pipedream, but not equally. Those who fancy not later than edge of night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to espy that it was swell-headedness: but the dreamers of the time are menacing men, because they may dissimulation on their dreams with unblocked eyes, to get them possible.
The glory of well-known men should always be slow by means of the means they contain used to come into possession of it.
Environs an exemplar is not the strongest means of influencing another, it is the however means.
We should be careful and discriminating in all the par‘nesis we give. We should be signally prudent in giving information that we would not about of following ourselves. Most of all, we ought to evade giving advise which we don't mind when it damages those who take us at our word.
