Stained Glass Cinema #13

Evan's climbing up the leaderboard. Jason/Daniel - be afraid. Be very afraid.

I've decided to stump you all this time. I'll give you one hint that ought not help you at all: I've seen this film at some point in the last two years. Scratch that - I'll give you another hint, in the interest of full disclosure: this appears to be the DVD cover art, not the original theatrical poster. I didn't realize that at the time of the creation of the stained glass version.

Standings:
Jason/Daniel - 3
Evan Derrick - 2
Steel11Kane - 1
TonyD - 1
Luke Harrington - 1
Rachel - 1
Adam Ross - 1
Jason Soto - 1
Fletch - 1 (meaning I stumped you)

19 people have chosen wisely: on "Stained Glass Cinema #13"

Wow - no guesses after 7 hours? Either my readership is slipping, this is too hard, or both.

Here's a hint: It has a number in the title.

Fletch said...

Nope.

Here's another hint (though a shitty one): a cast member of this movie was also in Dead Poets Society (though didn't have a big role in either).

One more hint: I'm guessing none of you have seen this.

This is a game that I desperately would like to win, but I think it's out of my league. Even when I see the answer revealed, I'm lost.

Fletch said...

Well, to be fair, this one is almost impossibly hard. I'll give another hint that should really help soon, but I really wanted to stump the pros this time.

Don't worry, though. I try to mix up the difficulty level on these regularly.

It must be the most hidden movie ever. . . I just research the entire cast of Dead Poet's Society and I couldn't find a single actor who was also in a number-included-titled film that had a DVD cover that looked anything like this. . .

C'mon Fletch! Give us some more love!

Fletch said...

The number in the title is spelled out, if that helps you at all. I promise I'm not making up stuff. ;)

It's not that hidden. It has 780 ratings on IMDb, and (another hint) not only have I seen it in the last two years, but I reviewed it here.

Ok, now I've gone from trying to stump you all to practically giving it away. I'm a friggin' pushover...

Ten Til Noon. . .

That would be courtesy of THE RAMBLER!

Fletch said...

The Rambler gets a gift. Congrats!

As it so happens, I share a first name with the cast member from both Ten Til Noon and Dead Poets - that would be none other than Dylan Kussman. I never liked him because he played a shithead in DPS and he had my name. Jerk. FYI: He's also in X-Men 2, cause I know you all were dying to know that. What can I say? With that red hair, he's easy to spot.

If you don't mind my asking, Justin, how'd you find me?

Justin Gott said...

You know, I can't remember. . .

I've been visiting here for almost a year I think. I'm on BLOGGER as well (although I have taken a sabbatical from blogging for the time being) and maybe that was it. But I doubt it.

Did you have a big feature that was publicized by other sites?

Oh, and even though I call So Cal home now, I'm originally from the Valley of the Sun and am a DIE-HARD Suns fan!!! AZ represent haha!

Fletch said...

I was asking mostly because I saw that you'd written (and linked to) Simmons on your site. I belong to a message board that was originally titled Sons of the Sports Guy, and I was wondering if that's where I knew you from.

I follow the NBA casually, but despite living here for almost 20 years, I'd still only call myself a Suns fan for lack of having a favorite before moving here. I lived in the Bay Area and Boulder, Co. before here, but never cared enough about hoops (or the Warriors or Nugs) at that time to latch onto one of them.

Blog Cabins has been featured on IMDb a couple times; I'm guessing that's how you stumbled onto me. Either way, thanks for reading (and commenting!).

If and when your sabbatical ends, let me know, and I'll be sure to link you up and add you to my Reader.

All good things - -

I'll be more vocal on here too, now that I'm on the leaderboard!

Keep up the good work!

Dude, I worked hard for this one, but just couldn't figure it out. I kept getting a "Kevin Bacon" vibe from the face, but, well, obviously that was wrong.

Oh well.

Evan Derrick said...

Danggit, commented under my wife's account again.

Jason Soto said...

Way to be obscure. What's next, my movie?
-Jason

Fletch said...

Jason - Ha! Got a poster for me? ;)

Evan - Glad to have stumped you. :D

Gawd Nammit.
Always too late to jump in on these.
Worse yet, I somehow knew this one. Saw it on the DVD rental shelf somewhere.

Oh and still no takes for this weeks In Shreds Fletch (or anyone else). A few clues are up, if you're still keen to get on the leaderboard! :P

Fletch said...

I'm impressed, Anders. You would pretty much have to had seen this like the day before to know it on sight like that.

I checked out In Shreds again and I still don't know it, especially since Evan said that the space one wasn't Wall*E, which was the sole one I knew. Of course, he could be mistaken...
