It'll serve just fine as a "bored on Sunday afternoon" movie six months from now.

And yeah, it sounds like I'll definitely be skipping A & D as well.Fletchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17299302086449086987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-859290034031232542.post-83462179037020361882009-05-16T14:56:00.000-07:002009-05-16T14:56:00.000-07:00I never saw the Da Vinci Code film (although I'...I never saw the Da Vinci Code film (although I've read both books), so I'll likely be skipping Angels & Demons as well. The trailers I've seen for Management look promising, though.Caitlinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00797180553972324709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-859290034031232542.post-2137991361463373902009-05-16T08:23:00.000-07:002009-05-16T08:23:00.000-07:00The Smoke Monster can't kill Jacob because that wo...The Smoke Monster can't kill Jacob because that would be against "the rules" of whatever game they're playing - which is why he needs to find a loophole. I read the book sometime last year. It's the exact same (and I mean *exact same*) formula as the Da Vinci Code, even though Angels & Demons technically came first. Just imagine DVC, but with a heavier focus on science instead of religion, with even flatter characters, and without the cool albino monk villain... and you have Angels & Demons. Literally. There's even an elderly crippled person who is a genius/scholar in the field of the subject of the plot who could quite possibly be the villain. They're basically twins of each other, but with a different plot/focus. So that gives you a basic idea of whether or not you'd like it.

Though I've heard from early reviewers that this movie is better than the DVC movie, so at least that's a plus.

As for Management... I've never heard of it, either.Nickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08092564511948736386noreply@blogger.com
