I've read Trainspotting, which is also written with the Scottish dialect implemented into the text... admittedly it took me a few chapters to get into the swing of it. It's a little difficult to get the language at first since Selby writes the accent into the dialogue, which is mostly made up of 70s Brooklyn street slang (e.g. braid=bread=money). But once you've got the language figured out, it's an excellent novel.Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12386248680892197260noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-859290034031232542.post-72899532681671031372010-09-21T02:04:47.981-07:002010-09-21T02:04:47.981-07:00It is really scary witnessing the decline of natur...It is really scary witnessing the decline of nature as the film progresses, or should I say downward spiral into chaos.
Canadian DrugsUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01282211145999547788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-859290034031232542.post-11973267395841041322010-09-21T01:27:21.480-07:002010-09-21T01:27:21.480-07:00Fitz - You summed up my waffling very eloquently t...Fitz - You summed up my waffling very eloquently there!

Rachel - Thank you! I've not yet read the novel, would you recommend?

Danny - I can see me approaching this film again in due time, just to re-experience it. It's a difficult film to recommend to others though, because I find it falls into the same category as films like 'Irreversible' - more of an endurance experience than your typical enjoyable movie.

Thanks DeeDee - I'd be curious for your thoughts on the film! Perhaps best to not watch it on Christmas day itself though - might put you on a bit of a downer.Liam [Less Than Three Film]https://www.blogger.com/profile/17899495163747026987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-859290034031232542.post-24545949932464356762010-09-20T23:01:58.011-07:002010-09-20T23:01:58.011-07:00Bonjour!
